The bulk update request #9325 has been rejected.

mass update wolfyakugaa -> wolfyakuga

Reason: This artist is known only as WolfYakuga everywhere but the name of their commishes page. The reason for that one being "WolfYakugaA" is they lost access to a previous account and had to make a second one with a different name. I asked them directly to confirm if they wanted to make this change and they agreed.

EDIT: The bulk update request #9325 (forum #420270) has been rejected by @Fzzr.

Just put all the links on the new artist page. Then replace all the current tags with the new one.

Oh, I thought there was some magical association to make that needed a BUR. Thanks!

Mass updates only move posts, so it wouldn't have affected or ported the wiki/artist page

Today I learned. Well I did the thing Manitka recommended above, all taken care of! =D

An alias would be fine here since the old name has no ambiguity, plus anyone using that tag in blacklists, saved searches etc. (however unlikely in this case) wouldn’t have to fix the tag manually. A mass update is the same thing as moving the tags manually and only really useful for tags that have a lot of posts such that moving them manually would be a lot of work.

When making an alias, does that mean the two tags co-exist, or one redirects to the other? I have another such case I may want to request where the new name should replace the old.

See the help page. Alias redirects.

Got it, thanks! That sounds like exactly what the artist would want but I'll check with them before requesting the alias.

A mass update also does a one time update to all blacklists changing the text to the mass update destination.
