The base nail polish tag has already been aliased to colored nails, so it figures these should be aliased away as well. Only some of them have been used but I figured I'd futureproof the rest while I was at it.

Would it count if the nail polish were still in its bottle instead of on someone's nails or claws? How about if it's being actively painted on something other than nails or claws? It might be that we ought to unalias nail_polish from colored_nails.

I think that was Parasprite.

The vast majority of these are just (color)_nails with no telling what's natural or nail polish from a TWYS perspective, so these aliases make sense to me.

For lack of any better names, I think something along the lines of nail_polish_bottle or nail_polish_(object) would be better for when it's still in its bottle, and then applying_nail_polish (like applying_makeup) for actively being applied.

EDIT: Though, I suppose there's a difference between nails and claws? blue_nails / blue_claws.

There's supposed to be a difference, but sometimes it's unclear or the artist was purposely trying to blur the line. And also sometimes people call blunt animal claws "nails" (particularly canids') so that might creep into the tags sometimes.

"Don't assume that abnormally-colored nails/claws are painted" is a good policy. In a world of sparkledogs, it's generally easier to assume all aspects of a character design are natural coloration unless shown otherwise. I already feel weird using the "eyeshadow" tag given how many characters in mainstream cartoons and games alone seem to just naturally have off-colored eyelids.
