Topic: Help untangling source artists of X user "SaphiraButNSFW" posts

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

There's an artist I like, @SaphiraButNSFW. (https://xcancel.com/SaphiraButNSFW)

They do art of OCs from the "Ori" series.
Some issues with that, though.

1. I'd tag them as "holocesaphira" and be done with it, but apparently they've been tagged as different artists???

see post #4900831, post #4902206

2. To make matters worse, none of the posts tagged tuya mention that artist at the source anywhere (I don't even know if 'tuya' exists. It's the name of @WildFire748590's OC, and that user's one of Saphira's friends. See https://x.com/WildFire748590/status/1783114265274302496)
(so 'tuya' might have to no longer be an artist tag???)

3. They have a friend whose art they post for them. @L3534795389328, which is just. an absolutely GREAT name (/s). Do I tag them as "L3534795389328"?

4. There's another friend of theirs who doesn't want to be credited. (see: https://x.com/SaphiraButNSFW/status/1821571518993948783). How the heck do I tag that??? nvm. "anonymous_artist".

Noticed same user uploaded most of the weird artist posts.

Are they the twitter OP? I really wish I knew how to mention them.

If one artist is tagged under multiple names, then their tags will need to be consolidated into one, usually their most recent preferred name. That way, if someone searches for one of their other names, they can find everything under the proper name.

This is done either through an alias request or if there's multiple names, a bulk update request. (In the latter, hit the little "Help" under the Script box for templates you can use for each request.) Please be sure to show proof of the connection of the names via links to offsite sources to make it easier for an Admin to approve it.

If Tuya isn't the artist who made those pictures, then tuya's been mistagged. Feel free to edit the posts and correct the tags as necessary.

If that's the only available name for that particular artist, then yes, we're stuck with it. It won't be the worst. You should see the names of some Pixiv-only artists onsite. Just how does one tag a bunch of emojis? :\

4. There's another friend of theirs who doesn't want to be credited. (see: https://x.com/SaphiraButNSFW/status/1821571518993948783). How the heck do I tag that???

If this friend is an artist, their art can be tagged as anonymous_artist. We want all our posts to have an artist tag, and that's the one we use when an artist doesn't want to be associated with a picture. If people somehow keep tagging their name on there anyway despite the anonymous_artist tag, a tag lock can be requested.

You could just ask. If they are indeed the artist, you could even tell them about Artist Verification.
