Topic: What's with all those pool vandals?

Posted under General

Is it me, or are there many pool vandals recently? Just look at the recent user records, or history of latest modified pools. I understand, that rarely, one person, can remove, by accident, but this rate?

As I understand there's an obscure bug in some mobile browsers that causes "Delete mode" to be checked when navigating back to the pool page, causing a lot of inadvertent pool deletes. In any case, I added a confirmation popup when you try to remove a post from a pool, so that should eliminate the problem if it really is that bug.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that.

Or spends time looking at the User Records.

lol, my..uh... Habit is to go to the main page, open Posts, Tags, Notes, and User records in separate tabs, then look though them, see if anythings wrong in them, report where needed, fix when needed. then open tickets and look at the other comment complaints then visit the tag history and search + and - tag changes, then to go to posts and check the flagged and herm images, then the gay and the rating:q then enjoy whatever i happen to like on the front page... im almost as active as an admin you could say.... xD

oh also i check the tagcount:# images, sometimes you can catch Tag vandals that way cuz they think removing all the tags is fun but it leaves behind "tagme"

I noticed because I kept seeing a lot of pools being "updated," with no new content. I'd be like "OH NO WAY, MORE OF COMIC XXX," and then be super sad.

Yes, we shall look into this and determine if these pool vandal records are appropriate

I know I put the "Interspecies Fun" pool together, and while editing it, I clicked on a post and ended up accidentally removing it from the pool. Same issue I think. I immediately fixed it, but that doesn't explain how two others were removed. Or am I remembering correctly? Is it possible to view my own user records to check?

EDIT: Apparently I removed four from "Interspecies Fun" by accident. How...?
EDIT2: No, wait, I miss-read it. I accidentally removed one, a user (remains anon, I'm not an Admin) removed 2, and a second user (also anon) removes 1; afterwards I restored all 4. Since no one else has, I'll upload and pool the remainder later. (TL)

Yup! Click your name, and then click "Tag Edits", "Wiki edits", "Note edits" or "Pool updates"; depending on what you want to check.

Note: There are located to your right, where your "Upload limit" and "User record" are.

Oh, I almost forgot, I also did some tag edits but saved them accidentally by pressing enter, leaving nothing but every word scrambled (I fixed them already on the moment), does that influence my user record?
