Excessively stylized signatures really annoy me. Isn't the whole point of a signature to put your identity on your art in a way that's understandable to everyone, not just the people who already know you?

Branding I guess. If one is famous enough, that squiggle will by recognizable. Kinda how I could know Zen pic if he just put the japanese (I think?) symbol.

Yeah, but if your signature is only recognizable to your fans, it's not even necessary, because your fans can recognize your art just from style.

So these cryptic signatures are useless to people who aren't familiar with you and your signature, and they're unnecessary to people who already know your art. Who are they for? What purpose are they supposed to serve? Branding I guess, but not really identifying.

If you make something popular and you don't sign it properly, you might just regret it.

Artists are, in order of the links, Tygurstar, Tsampikos, and Niis.
