I'm just wondering... I'm tidying up the portal_(game) related posts and found myself stuck over the portal 2 pictures. Okay, these ones have the robot guys. That's clearly portal 2, but this one has a turret, that's a reference back to portal 1... but, isn't glados a reference to both? Hmm.

So... what? my thought is to make a portal_(series) (or portal_(franchise) but I've been told that that's horrible wrong :) ) and lump everything together under that unless it's clearly portal 1 (ie, chell -- assuming that chell isn't in portal 2, I haven't played :P) or portal 2 (the robot duo guys).. but then.. maybe that's making an unneeded tag. Maybe everything that is portal related should be portal_(game). Maybe there's another option.

I dunno. Thoughts?
(in the mean time.. portal now only contains pictures of portals. YAY!)

it only takes a spinoff to make a franchise. Mario is a franchise, mcdonalds is a franchise... portal.. left4dead.. both series. they don't have any splits in things.

I think for now we don't need to distinguish between Portal 1 and 2. As for the tag, follow conventions, so what, portal_(series)? Whatever we use for a copyright series that's already used by another tag.

is lame artist without a whole lot of artwork done in recent years... but I still self-ID as an artist. But, I should scan in some of the more recent things I've done... cept my dang scanner died last week. :P I'll dig around and poke some crap to my FA (or e6 if I actually like anything) and link you :D

So, just to clarify so that I don't get doomed upon... get rid of portal_(game) and Portal_2_(game) and make both portal_(series)?

come to think of it, I agree. it's not like we specify super_mario_64 or _super_mario_land_3 :) I shall go _(series)-ify portal. :D
