Since there have been a lot of "Roleplays" going on in the comments section {No we're not gonna ban them flat out} here are some very simple rules to abide by.

One: Don't be fucking creepy, NO SEXUAL ACTS in ANY roleplay esqe comments. {And this goes for just sexual comments in general, no one wants to hear about how much you want to fuck {Furry/pony/your mom}

Two: Keep it short, 5-10 post is preferred, do NOT get above 20

Three: The whole super defensive "Grabs my guns" stuff? Thats gotta stop, its not cute or humorous.

Four: Try Keep it relevant to the picture at hand, a few short posts are cute, but when it goes off the rails its just annoying. {No. Roleplaying on SEXUAL pictures. End of story.}

This should be a fair compromise to those who enjoy the roleplay comments, those who roleplay, and those who want it to stop. If the other admins want to add anything, they are free to edit this comment and add them in as additional rules {With their names tagged by them.

In a perfect world, there would be a ban on BAD Roleplaying only.

I approve of this decision. When there are too many bad roleplay comments, it's more difficult to find the funny or interesting ones (amongst non-roleplay comments).

It's also a character from My Little Pony who rules over an entire kingdom with kindness and understanding. Never once is she shown being sexual in any way. So I have NO Idea where you got any of that from.

That has always been frowned upon, simply under the stop being creepy rule. Itès just not been applied to MLP RP.

Simple rule for you RPers. If your character is in a pornographic pic, any comment you make will likely be creepy

Lol. What's super ironic is that you're trying to be taken seriously when having a name like yours implies some insanity. The funniest part is how psychologists call their patients "Neurotic" when they are in a professional relationship.

Sorry, my main point is that sexual RP is already not allowed, and perpetrators who are caught at it get anywhere between a warning and an all-out ban, depending on severity and repetition of the creepiness.

That's true. But they crack down pretty good when they find it. There's just too many pictures and comments to always police them. If you find it, you're more than welcome to report it to our Admin team, I know they've expressed appreciation for users who point out the creepsters.

Personally I don't mind simple rp which is meant to be fun. But when it goes to TMI levels, it just gets a bit grose. This is a community after all, we don't need to know each and everyone's fetish or what you would want to do with a sertain character. Keep it simple and it won't be offensive. Same goes for jokes, some jokes are just simply horrible and offensive towards large groups of people. But that is for another topic.

I mostly just do one or two joke comments when something randomly pops in my head on any pony picture, though I don't really post to much, just nothing in my head sometimes.

also it's hard to try and keep[or atleast not over do] a southern accent when you were raised and lived in NW U.S. your whole life.

So this is a pornographic site, not devoted to Images of different classes wether clean or not. This site does not ONLY have porn on it and it has been stated many times it is an Image Board favouring Furry art over other types of art. Facts are facts no matter what you believe.
Majority of the site is pornographic yes, but it still ain't only devoted to porn as a porn site so in otherwords if this WAS a porn site it fails misserably.

I find a ton of images which are great and nicely done, which has no adult theme to them at all. So fact still stands it ain't a porn site unless the Admins themselves delete all non porn related images and say it is a porn site it won't be.

Even smaller chances to give constructive critisims to an artist about their own uploaded art (We have a few artists which uploads their own art here).
Can't discuss about what you like or dislike about an image (Were we all have to accept each persons oppinions).
Can't give information when asked.
Can't ask for information is needed.
Can't help the newbies to the site (Which I count myself still as).
Less rage and arguments on images.

Still a lot of cons compared to pros.

Comments on ridiculous pics are a major appeal for some ppl to drop by, like myself. It should be kept that way.

Because We condone a specific kind of environment here. I know, I know it isn't your hug box of fur affinity where you can basically fuck someone's dog in their comments without their consent and get away with it. and I know you looove doing that, but at the same time our constant comment watching also makes it not like fur affinity, a place where you can go to any journal and rape a user up and down the lot for weeks before an admin will even look at it.

If you don't like the comments don't read them, you know fully well they are there so don't scroll down. Same on popular sites such as YT where a huge amount of creeps, trolls and raging teens go to and comments stupid things, I can 1 either ignore it, or 2 read them for a laugh.

When it comes to everyone being dicks, you fairly haven't been here long, I have spoken to manny who acctually are well mannered and nice, same as I have seen people give constructive critisism, to help artist to look for things they might have missed. The most people I have been a dick towards on this site, is basically dickheads that think they are right in everything when they aren't, and I know I ain't a world all knowing guy, but the things I do know I do know.

I think it is acctually good to make a limitation on how the rp should go on this site, since then people can still have a bit of fun while looking at pictures and speaking to others. If I don't like it, I ignore it.

I'm going to jump right to my point, i don't care either way about the roleplaying, i really don't i don't give 2 quarters of a half-baked SHIT about creepers or burn it with fire stuff, in my mind i just translate it to 'this picture is not to my tastes or is disturbing' and the more people adding to it merely marks them as 'i agree good sir.'

My main problem with this silly rule is that i don't trust you, YOU as an administrator. I don't trust you that this will be the last stifling act that you will impede upon us as a community, i don't trust that you won't pick and choose who stays and who goes, i don't trust that you will use your powers with the utmost respect for the community members at all times without letting your emotions get in the way (case in point, mellis). I'm even having trouble trusting that this is even a major issue to begin with. In short i do not trust that this won't get worse as time goes on, give it another year and soon we won't be able to even crack a damn joke without being banned until 2128. Put my fears at rest and i'll have no problem marching to your drum, as it stands now, you remind me of mellis... and NO ONE, NO ONE liked mellis.

He was an ass and many times simply banned people for little to no reason. I looked back on his old comments and he used to be reasonable, just like you aurali, but the fandom ripped him apart over the time he was here, wearing him down like sandpaper until he just became almost like a loose cannon. Show us that you have the resolve not to do that, show us that one rule isnt going to lead to another.

Putting harsher restrictions on how we can comment is going right over the heads of the people you're trying to control because creepy retards don't read the rules and preachy retards assume they are the sole exception to them. If you want to get their attention, ban them for a while.

Though personally I have less of a problem with people roleplaying than I do with people just randomly being assholes and creating a shitstorm. The former I'm so used to that I can ignore it like gum on a sidewalk. The latter seems to bring out the obnoxious horseshit in every subsequent user.

Mellis was a nice guy, I had no trouble with him. Most guys he did ban were total dickheads which thoughts they owned the place, when we damn know well we don't. Rules are here for a reason, if you break them you WILL get banned, when problems occur that is not in the rules, new rules might and will be settled to try and keep things civil.

I have no problems with the Admins or Mods here, even if I had a light argument with Aurali about a stupid thing, in the end I deleted the comment, and the comment which offended me, was also deleted. I might not be the nicest of people, I can be a total jerk at times, though I try to be civil and respect the mods and the admins for their hard work.

Let me repeat, RP was Frowned upon in the first place. The rules were put in place due to Extraordinary amounts of creepy shit going on. If we "wanted" to go over the heads of everyone, we could have just outright Banned it. For the most part, the mod team does everything after an overall census and what we feel is necessary to keep the peace on the site as a whole. We do realize we can't please everyone, and we're not going to try. If you see someone being a cocknugget in the comments, report them to an admin and we will deal with it.

And why should anyone care who you trust? You do literally nothing for the site and speak as though your trust in the mods is integral to the site's functionality. Do you really think the mods would have brought PC on as a mod if she wasn't up to the task?
You're making a mountain out of a molehill and are vastly overestimating the value of your opinions. Nothing wrong with voicing your thoughts, but don't presume to speak on behalf of others, especially when all it amounts to is insulting the moderators.

I actually somewhat agree with Foxen.
I don't like rules and I don't tend to trust the moderation or administration of really any forum.
Then again, I am a paranoid schizophrenic, so i am somewhat distrusting of... everyone...

All that said, despite my disdain toward rules, especially inane rules, (How can anyone get creeped out on the internet these days anyway?) I never seem to have a problem following them...
My typical manor never tends to offend or bother anyone...

In anycase, I've never seen role-playing as an issue here, and I don't see what the fuss is about. I Find Such "creepy" Micro-Novellas as charming and often times hilarious. If someone is so sensitive then perhaps they shouldn't be on the internet. I feel somewhat robbed with this new rule in place.

whatev... personally, it seems that if someone is bashing an artist or other site member in a comment, then the comment will be voted down... if it's a problem, then the mods will suspend or ban the trouble-maker... that's the way of things, that's what the mods are for.

However, I don't see a problem with the occasional rp-style comment. I got into a mini-rp a few months ago, just a few posts before we let it lie. Also, I see no problem with a quick "oh, he's sexy [or cute]" or a comment about mounting a particular character. This isn't a porn site, but most of the pics are porn. Whether someone comes here to admire the work of a particular artist or to fap to MLP or cuntbois, there are many reasons to be here and many reasons to post comments. [I didn't say that well, I know.]

I guess what I'm trying to say is, there are a lot of us that visit e621 for just as many reasons. There are a wide range of comments and they'll vary depending on the contents of the particular posts. Some pics are funny, some are amazing in the skill of the artist, and some are quite sexual. There will be those that reply to a big-breasted canine spread-eagled on a bed showing off her stuff with some sexual innuendo. That's no surprise; that style pic invites such comments.

Yes, there are those that go overboard, but I think that they are in the minority. One reason that I visit e621 regularly (like 2x a day) over ychan (for example) is the option to make comments and to read what others write. :D
