Topic: "Ambiguous Gender" question.

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

So I have a question.

We're supposed to tag what we see, and in the case of an appropriate image, tag "Ambiguous Gender" if there's no clear evidence in the image supporting one gender or the other for a character.

My question is this: How do we tag sexuality when an Ambiguous character is involved? Since we can only tag what we see, we can't really be sure if it should be tagged Straight or Gay or Lesbian, etc. And it might screw with some peoples' blacklists if we tag one way or another.

So do we just leave out straight/gay/lesbian/bisexual and just add the "sex" tag, or what?

I would say so, yeah.

Just keep in mind that it's entirely possible to make an educated guess at a character's gender (or sex, technically) by physical attributes OTHER than breasts/dong/etc. Some people seem to really struggle with this aspect of "tag what you see".

Both yes and no... Realistically, yes, but due to the userbase and "girly" characters, it's more likely to stir up a shitstorm to try and tag a character as a gender if the obvious bits aren't showing.

That's my experience, at least.

But that aside, I'll keep the info in mind and exclude tags gay/straight/bisexual from images with ambiguous characters.
