cum on chest would be better. Do we even need the distinction for pecs?
Updated by anonymous
I'd alias cum_on_pecs to cum_on_chest myself.

Oh, I thought pecs where depictions of muscular than just a normal chest.

Thanks but, why? I thought it would be batter as an implication, because people searching for cum_on_pecs would probably be looking for muscular guys.

They can search for "cum_on_chest muscles" Boom, problem solved.

not if they're looking specifically for pecs.

Pecs are muscles.
and I"m going to point out that we have cum_on_breasts as a tag with over 1000 instances. ... cum_on_chest looks pretty good to me.

I'm not seeing how this rebuts his point.
AN ANALOGY:
"Let's alias dolphin, narwhal, orca, and sperm_whale to cetacean"
"This is unhelpful if people are specifically looking for dolphins"
"Dolphins are cetaceans"

This isn't a muscle booru, species have to be broken down because of the large quantity of them but muscles/pecs do not need such detail

That's fair.
On the other hand. Pectoral muscles are chest muscles. Very specifically the two big ones at the very top. They make up the area that is generally defined as 'chest'. In women, the mammary glands, or breasts, over lay the pectoralis major muscles.. as we all know, making cum_on_breasts a relevant tag. Women, after all, also have pecs. Just like non-muscular men to. But, of course as we also all know, men also have mammary glands and can, under the right circumstances, produce milk for a child. And since the all the relevant parts are there for men, cum_on_breasts still technically applies. But of course we rarely refer to a man's breasts. We call it his chest.
More so, the 'chest' is a region of space between neck and abdomen. If we had both cum_on_chest and cum_on_pecs, then we may as well add cum_on_collarbone and cum_on_sternum, cum_on_ribcage and more. But that would be silly.
So, a better analogy if I might:
"I noticed that all of the different skunk breeds are aliased to skunk! Let's fix this!"
"there's not a while lot of differences in the types of skunks, except the spotted skunk. I think it's fine as it is."
"There's a lot of differences in the different types of skunks!! What if someone wants a specific type of skunk?!"
"I don't think that artists, on average, are capable of portraying the differences between a striped skunk and a Humboldt's hog-nosed skunk or a hooded skunk and a American Hog-nosed Skunk ... Not to mention with the realms of artistic creativity, someone's skunk persona may not even resemble any one of the numerous skunk species. I think this is being unnecessarily specific. Plus, no one will search for humbolt's_hog_nosed_skunk -- they'll look for skunk. Though I admit the spotted skunk does deserve his own tag and should only imply skunk. They are quite visually different."

If there's a female version of cum on chest, and cum on pecs is currently being (actively) used for the male version, then aliasing one of the 2 seems a bit unfair/counter-intuitive
Though, a search of cum_on_chest muscle male doesn't bring up any posts of females with cum on their chests

I do agree that this tag is overly specific, I just didn't think your argument made much sense.

Ah, no. cum_on_breasts is the female varient. and cum_on_chest is what is currently being used for males. cum on pecs was aliased away a few days ago. cum_on_chest female seems mostly to apply to cases where cum is BETWEEN the breasts on the chest :thumb69306: or in cases where the female doens't have 'breasts' to speak of :thumb111391::thumb34014: (or where there is a male in the image with cum on his chest :P)
..though I'd honestly argue that if we're calling cum_on_chest the female variant and cum_on_chest the male variant, most of the iamges in cum_on_chest female need retagging.
ALTERNATIVELY!
we could possibly say that:
and both of those imply cum on chest and use that as a 'master tag' so to speak.
BUT. then you'll have all kinds of people going "okay so I uploaded this picture of a wolf who jacked off and he has cum on his front.. so.. let's see.. cum_on_stomach... cum_on_chest..." and that kind of messes up everything. Tha'ts a hard one to 'retrain' people out of using.
tl;dr - I kinda like it the way things are with pecs out of the picture.

In retrospec, you're right actually. I must have been sleepy, or accidentally deleted part of my reply, or something. sorry <3

just a thought. correct me if I'm wrong and sorry if this has been discussed but:
assuming cum_on_pecs implies pecs
aliasing cum_on_pecs -> cum_on_chest would have to mean that with a picture that has someone with cum on their chest would mean that they have pecs (like, you know the visible muscular kind of way). Which doesn't make sense. Like a girl with boobs.... or flat chested for that matter.

Aliases don't work that way. I wish they did, because then you could have a forked alias (one tag gets replaced with two+ tags), but sadly they don't.

I know, what I'm saying is it's illogical make sense to alias that because if you DO (which it currently is) it means that cum_on_chest should have a pecs tag, so it's a flawed alias. :p

So you'd rather have an unnecessary tag bloating the system than a meaningless flaw that can be easily fixed?

It's now an unnecessary tag and it's not a meaningless flaw.

It's pretty meaningless considering that it has no actual effect on tags. But if it really bugs you, the implication can just be deleted. Or not, because you're not the one running the site.
