It has come to my attention that our death-related tags are in a severe state of disarray at the moment. I propose that we implement the following changes in order to straighten things out:
Definition Changes
The "* :" tag should only be added if an image describes ": *"
- dying : a living being that is not yet dead but soon will be. This includes both the mortally wounded and the terminally ill.
- death : a living being that is currently passing or has just recently passed on.
- Should not imply corpse, as death can be implied without the body being seen.
- corpse : a mostly-intact (that is, not just an individual part like a hand or head), no-longer-living being. This excludes the remains of inanimates like normal plants and fungi.
- Should not be used to describe reanimated corpses; undead and its subspecies are to be used for that.
Structural Changes
=> : aliases to, +> : implies
- dead => corpse
- bodies => corpse
- body => corpse
- Body's only function is as a bloat tag right now.
- revenant => zombie
- specter => ghost
- spectre => ghost
- ghost +> undead
Category Changes
Each listed tag's type should be converted from general to species.
What do you guys think?
