Topic: Tag Alias: Fire_Hair -> Flaming Hair

Honestly, I prefer fire_hair. Flaming_hair just sounds like someone's got regular hair that is now ablaze, 'cause they were leaning over the stove or something. fire_hair is more obvious that their hair is fire.

I would agree with you, but I'm a little wary of tackling the distinction between things that are "naturally" on fire versus things that have been lit on fire in terms of tagging.

It seems like the only way to determine that say, hades's hair being on fire is its natural state is to have outside knowledge of the character (i.e. breaking the "tag what you see" rule).

So I'm supporting the alias, since it seems to apply to both scenarios.

I think they both could come in handy for minor discrepencies as listed above in prior posts... Fire hair for elemental hair of fire, flaming hair for hair that has poofed ablaze. And it would seem both could be easy to spot differences between the two.

Personally, I would go for fire_hair for the same reason RedOctober cites, but went with flaming_hair because there's more pictures tagged that way. I checked for flame_hair, but saw none at the time.

My thoughts are that this tag is for hair that is made of fire, like Infernape's or Disney's Hades'. Hair that is regular hair but is obviously lit on fire (such as due to a comic mishap) would be burning_hair instead (no pictures for the last yet). Naturally, it cases in which outside knowledge is necessary, flaming/fire_hair should be the default.
