And about the 1,000,000th post, I counted that between posts 670K and 680K there was a three-week difference.
So if we go with this rate, We will reach one millionth post 2 years later.

Some predictions, based on my graph of max post ID per month:

At the current rate (unlikely as we're always growing faster):
March 2017

Following a very sharp trend (unlikely; it also predicts we'll hit infinite posts per day a month later):
April 2016

Following a likely trend that shows the same gradual increase in post rate we've experienced so far:
September 2016 - January 2017

My best guess: ~November 2016, but definitely between April 2016 and March 2017.

You should probably switch the values on the x- and y- axes (I'm no mathematician, but the x-axis is almost always used to represent time in my experience. Since this is a one-to-one function it doesn't matter too much, but still...)

Okay, I've downloaded 1355 posts with its timestampts.

Based on the deltas between post IDs and upload time, I've calculated a seconds/post (ie average time between posts) and got a logarithmic regression like this:
f(x)=698.7862324552*0.9999973492^x

Integrating on x we get:
f(x)=698.7862324552*0.9999973492^x/ln(0.9999973492)+k

Solving k for 676001 yields:
f(x)=698.7862324552*0.9999973492^x/ln(0.9999973492)+1478765563,76314

Now with x=1.000.000 we get a timestamp: 1460156307,92612. Which is Fri, 08 Apr 2016 22:58:27 GMT.

By removing the data from the first 128000 posts, the updated formula yields: Thu, 07 Jul 2016 13:23:30 GMT

I understood some of that!

I tried to think of all the factors that would go into making a more accurate guess on the matter, and what you'd have to do to account for them, and then realized trying to do things that way would be crazy. A logarithmic regression is probably the best we're going to manage here.

I was initially going to take into account holidays (people upload more content when they're not working obv) by computing sec/post per month.

That's an image that says "1,000,000 GET!!!" and has nothing else to do with the topic of the website, its only purpose being to hit 1,000,000 (Which would probably be deleted because it's just text). I would like something to look back on years later and have a positive 1m memory. It doesn't have to be amazing, but it shouldn't be a GET post.
