I like that the Sharpedo with a crush on Brendan is actually a male, gay fish are cute.
But it's really weird that the only one without a stated gender (besides Brendan) is the Gardevoir, but the text uses both male and female pronouns when referring to them... In such a way that kinda makes me think it's supposed to refer to them as a female, but the "He" is a translation error. Maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part, and the intent was to leave it up to the reader, but it seems likely they mixed up "she" for "he".

It's very likely that it was kept vague in the same way the Pyro from TF2 was kept vague; to create strong discussion and spawn fan-theories. You know, to keep people thinking, or let people believe what they want.
This is especially apparent with how the gender wasn't even explicitly included in Gardevoir's description.

They probably meant that Brendan was captured by her.

MemberAlso the fact that Banette is level 92 and shiny is just awesome.
OverAndUnder
MemberI am actually really surprised that sharpedo is male. What does that make Brendan then for it seams that he might have something for his sharpedo.
Science-Snake-Altair
MemberOh hey, there's Brendan, a cool bunch of Pokemon common among mid-level trainer... and a Banette that might as well be the team's Colonel.
