Rainbow lost all of her pieces other than the piece which can't be captured, and Twilight only has her King (cross-thing covered by Dash's snout), three Pawns, and two Bishops. This must have been a long, drawn out game and I'm pretty sure Dash isn't in checkmate yet. She's probably just resigning because she knows Twilight only needs to promote at least one Pawn to Queen and cover with a bishop to achieve checkmate and it would take several more turns.
