"Hah! I never thought I'd see a grown man run from a fish!"

"I feel sorry for him.. All that barking at it while it flopped around the shore."

"Hahahaha! It was tryin' ta kill him! Bark-Bark-Bark-SQUEAK!!"

I admit I had a lot of fun doing the colours for this image. Its one of the few personal projects that I didn't fret over as much as I usually do, and I broke away from doing a tonal-greyscale version first. I just started picking colours from photos of wolves and slapping them around. The end result is fairly pleasant!

The high resolution version was posted to Patreon, but it's posted here un-cropped (though watermarked) as well.

  • I completely love this picture! I always adored the ideas of native wolves roaming the old world forests. Always loved that idea and age. Quite well done. 9.99/10 only concern. I would like more fall leaf colors x) great job though!

  • Pretty much the best example of "casual exposure" on the site. It's a natural setting where the exposure is just part of the context without being removed or necessarily fetishized. Wish there were more like this.
