  • Why do people put those censors there? A lot of artists do it for some reason. the only reason I can think of is that I may drive certain people to buy the art or become patreon or something, but not for all artists. So why the hell?

-during ww2 occupation of american generals
-during one dinner, one general saw artistic images that were of naked people
-the owners of the house saw nothing wrong
    -general blew a gasket
-demanded and made law that all images of such content should be obscured and censored
    -Japanese followed the rule

    -fast forward to today
-that law is still in place because the japanese aren't a wishy washy nation
-it is illegal to distribute uncensored art
-the only saving grace is that it was never specified "how" censored it was
-sometimes it's transparent lines over the clitoris/glans
-other times it requires full pixilation
-depends on the artist and publisher

-only Tokyo so far has relieved the law to allow selling of uncensored art
-that was around 60 years after the law was passed

Thanks, you overly sensitive jackass general.

This artist seems to be Japanese, and by Japanese law, all pornography has to be censored. People are always poking fun at how Japan is like the weird fetish capital of the world, but they're like that because their sexuality is so repressed.

  • That's not censorship this image just supports colorblind mode. Basically by adding black stripes over the juicy parts people without the ability to see colors can tell the difference between furry porn and let's say a ham product.

It's a very practical function for colorblind folks who seek adult entertainment online and those who are trying to decide how to present their dinner to guests. Both ended up mixing things up from time to time so you can all understand that the results were both funny and sad hence the idea.

In Teddy Jack's specific case, however, that's because he has a rather asinine policy of not posting uncensored versions of commissioned pictures. I'm guessing down the line he's gonna pull a Dr. Comet.

Possibly. There was a case not too long ago of a hentai artist "not censoring his works well enough". He tried to fight against it and the court slammed him and won, charging him the recall and redistribution of his books at a painful $10,000 equivalent, which is easily around 1,000,000 yen. That's an insane amount for such a worker.
