Acrylic Fox - [sold]

Another in my continuing series of acrylic painting experiments, this time just a picture of a generic fox - the standard testbed of the fandom. Done all up in bondage gear of course, because hey- it's me. That's what I do.

I decided to try out a proper canvasy sorta thing, as most of my experiments have been on paper coated in gesso so far. The canvas has it's merits, but I've been trying to get away from rougher textured paper all this time, painting on canvas would be a bit of a backward step. Still, it's a good experiment to see if the problems I'm having are related to the surface I'm painting on or just my lack of skills, as acrylics should work more or less ideally on canvas so any troubles I'm having are my own doing.

This canvas was not primed in any way, I just painted directly onto the surface. I'm going to try another painting on this stuff with a coating of primer next to see if that makes a difference.... but I don't expect much. I'm definitely going to want something much smoother in the long run, but for now, I hope you enjoy my experimenting. Lemme know what you think!
