MemberI'm starting to think that most of the artists who draw theses one finger challenge images haven't done it themselves yet nor studied a successful one properly. Out of the 18 available here right now, all of them except this one have technical issues, the image above being one of the most blatant.
If you pick a reference point on the hand (like the end of the fingernail) and draw a straight line between the centre of the camera lens and the reference point, that reference point on the hand's reflection should be on that line, meaning both reference points and the camera lens should line up perfectly.
This is true for any one finger challenge selfie, both success and failure, and you can test this yourself by downloading any photo of someone performing the challenge for real and following the above instructions in MSPaint or something.
