Well to be honest, he is kinda right, most Crux's try to pull the "Goggle wearing Mad Scientist" look, its like it is subconcious or something.

I was sporting Goggles back in 08 now everyone does it. Now I sorta got this glowing-pupil thing going with it, And animated the lenses with lil' display screens.. At the time tho there wasn't much in the way of Crux accessories. :P
