  • Ah, X-Ray-Dog. The one epic orchestra that has shown us that you don't need beautiful melodies or the awe-inspiring patterns of harmony Two Steps from Hell uses to be popular - a barrage of electrical noise that seems to be shouting into your ears seemingly fulfills the same purpose...

    Yeah, X-Ray-Dog is totally awesome!

That was not quite exactly what I was trying to say. I mean seriously, in comparison, two songs that both are meant to inspire a menacing atmosphere:

    X-Ray-Dog: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xd4mb8GfVNk
    Two Steps from Hell: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ep5Ly6nfl9c

I mean good, there is no accounting for taste, but just compare the simple complexity, the skill needed to create the songs! The idea that someone could prefer the first one still gives me rash... and even although it excludes TSfH's REAL good songs like Black Blade or To Glory... X.X

Writing about music is like dancing about architecture.

Just enjoy what you do and don't what you don't. It's not rocket science.

    But it's math.
