News: Feb 26, 2025 Show

Feb 26th:A new bill in Arizona is making its way through the Senate that would force sites like e621 to implement mandatory age verification for all users—or face potential lawsuits. This system would require third-party vendors to verify every user’s age through a government database. Not only is this a massive violation of privacy, but it also introduces serious risks, including identity theft through phishing schemes and other malicious methods. Worse still, we would have no control over ensuring that user data is permanently deleted after verification.

Since e621 operates out of Arizona, this law would almost certainly impact us if it passes. If you want to help ensure that we can continue serving you without being forced to collect personal information, we urge you to contact Arizona’s senators and ask them to vote NO on this bill.

Please help spread the word about this issue and encourage others to take action.
Further information on the bill itself can be found at the Free Speech Coalition: https://action.freespeechcoalition.com/bill/arizona-hb-2112/

Description

" FINAL ACT! FINAL ACT! Does Brogulls even have acts? I didn't write it with acts in mind, but I suppose it sort of fits if you consider Act 1 to be pages 1-38. That's about when the focus shifted from "will they or won't they" to "damn Ayden get a fucking job." So we'll call this Act 3 even though it really doesn't make any difference. I got too ambitious with this page. I was gonna have a generic graduation montage but then I found out Manteo High has their graduations at The Lost Colony's outdoor theater, which is just the sort of obscure NC landmark that I haven't been able to shoehorn in lately. If I'd known about it beforehand then I would have started on this page earlier. I can't do these complicated pages every week, it took twice as long as usual, but I guess it makes for a nice transition.

I almost got a little misty drawing Bailey in his cap and gown. I have this idea about characters that events haven't actually occurred in their lives until I draw them happening. I knew Bailey would graduate since page 1, but I never considered Bailey graduated in my mind until today, so congratulations nerd bird.

Enjoy your camping trip."

  • Ahhh.. College... Decimating personal relationships, strong friendships, and meaningful romances just so you can crunch numbers in a computer later on in life for some asshole boss who works half as hard as you do and makes four times more.

Realizing what could have been, you sink into a deep depression, knowing that the friendships and romance you once had is gone, and you've moved far away from home; you find yourself staring up at a freshly knotted noose, wondering if working your ass off all your life was worth missing out on your childhood, social life, and possibly, love.

  • That description makes this all the more beautiful. Cool idea with the auditorium. Been rocking Miguel's Kaleidoscope Dream reading this, I think it fits.
