Hold up--if the town's police are that efficient, why even the need for superheroes? I mean, it's a given in these settings that law enforcement is totally overwhelmed or useless. I mean, Gotham is a corrupt hellhole where the cops enforce the law intermittently and ineffectually, if at all, while Metropolis has a defender who can see crime from a mile away through a skyscraper and be there almost before it starts, thus making police semi-irrelevant.

I mean, uh, damn, she's cute. (No, but seriously, she is.)
