This is what happens when higher resolutions or qualities of pictures are uploaded, and the previous ones are deleted.

Everyone's favorites move over to the new one instead. This was one of the highest-ranking Pokémon pictures on the entire site.

Yeah, someone found a fraction of a pixel higher version and tanked the 280+ upvotes, but all the favorites are kept.

The upvotes need to be kept along with favorites, or petty pathetic "superior" versions need to be ignored.

On second thought, that's a bad idea as it'd encourage the "point scavangers" t go out to find some variant of an existing, high rated image just so they could post it and get all the ratings for themselves.
