  • As a whole I agree this generation is probably the worst one yet, however in my opinion there are quite a few diamonds in the rough in this generation. The prehistoric pokemon are interesting, an anteater, real eagle, a decent elk/deer, a zebra, some of them long overdue. There are a lot of interesting type combination's that I'd like to try, and in terms of "repeated" pokemon, they said they did this for a reason. Considering it takes place in a new continent, it makes sense to me that there are other kinds of a similar species, after all that's what we see in nature and as far as I can tell pokemon represent a wide variety of animals of forces of nature.

Granted, for every diamond there's that much more rough, like the ugly ass trashbag, burt and ernie, the icecream cone, those monkeys and so on.

  • Lopunny still takes the cake for the finest damn thing to ever pop out of the pokemon world.

  • I didn't like them overall when I first saw them, except for a small few, but they've grown on me. I like just about all of them now. Doredia may even have knocked Lopunny out of my top slot. Gen 5 is the Bug and Grass generation for sure, and Grass is my favorite type.

Also, what are you talking about, carbonated? There is no new Eevee, all these are separate from any previous Pokemon.

  • I kind of wonder if people are complaining about the new evolutions because either A) GameFreak is running out of ideas, or B) Because they aren't familiar. I didn't like the Diamond and Pearl evolutions either (aside from Leafeon and Glaceon) until I played it, and I have a feeling this series will be the same.

One of those 'Don't knock it until you've tried it' sort of dealie-oh's.

  • I dunno, aside from the fact that they've done a spin on nearly every creature in existence or mythology, I really like the look of some of the new guys. The deer-looking ones do deer way more justice than Stantler did, and honestly, the more i read up on how the game will have better and more accessible online play, and how seasons and weather conditions will add to strategy depth, I get more amped to play it.

  • I wish people would make it so that when I hover my mouse over the pictures I could see the names of the pokemon...I hate seeing them and not knowing which one is which ._.

  • Since playing White (and researching from a lot of credible pokemon websites), I'm pleased and disappointed at the same time report that no 5th Gen pokemon have any evolutionary connection with any of the previous games.

I am pleased as there are some pokemon that seem like they need more evolutions (tauros, farfetch'd, for some examples), but do not have 5th Gen evolutions; I'm disappointed that some pokemon (eevee, mr.mime, jynx, for some examples) did not get evolutions for 5th Gen though.

I, for one, think "Team Monkeyfuckers" would make a excellent enemy team-name.

Tried it. Fact is, they are basically using rejected megaman villians and knocked off DragonWarrior Monsters for pokemon now, not only that, where back in the day critical hits were miracles that rarely happened, and Giga Drain was a level 42 move.. Now Criticals happen every other hit, and the best moves are learned at like, level 15 sometimes.

back then it was basically critical hit or the move missed though >.> and back then all added affects had like 70% chance of happening, nows its like 20%

Is it bad that i actually like the new Pokemon?

Of course its not bad, just because these weiners think so. What's really bad is critsizing a game you know nothing about.
    Ny the way, nice artwork!

  • I Happen to like Servine a lot... but When I first saw the game and read my options for a starter pokemon, In my opinion, I first felt that Oshawott looked like a piplup getting jacked in the face and spending time in the recovery room...

  • What is with chaps these days? Criticizing Gamefreak, so what if the Pokémon designs are bad,you try making individual design for about 100 creatures per game, and this game is about friendship, and folks in England to Japan don't criticize about how their friends looks. All I'm saying is, GEN 2 IS DA BOMB!!!!!!

  • Compared to Klefki and Hawlucha, I see very few issues. Vanilluxe and the cones, as well as Litwick and it's evos are the only ones I dislike. Note I said dislike, not hate.
