A big sword you can't properly wield is a disadvantage.

I mean, that's an actual historical kind of sword that actually existed based on archaeological finds.

The fact that non-ceremonial examples existed in enough quantity for us to actually find any implies it was indeed possible to wield them properly.

Hell, many people claim that a longsword - that is, a proper two-handed sword meant to be used that way, as opposed to an armingsword which is what people mistakenly believe a longsword is - actually feels lighter in the hands than a rapier. Which, of course, has something to do with the fact that a longsword, wielded properly, is being used with BOTH hands, enhancing your control of the weapon significantly.

If the blade isn’t too thick it’s very possible, besides you want all the weight on the handle anyway, look up the black prior from for honor.

All I tried to say is that you don't want to wield a sword you don't have the strength for.

Wait are you saying he’s weak or she’s weak? And why didn’t you just say that?

Strength-wise, you easily can. Anybody who can't carry a two handed sword in one hand is to weak to use any weapon effectively. I can easily carry more than double the weight, and anybody who's ever carried a 6l pack of fluid in one hand can do so as well.

Now, handling and balancing, that's where things become complicated. A two-hander just isn't built to be wielded in one hand.
