News: Feb 26, 2025 Show

Feb 26th:A new bill in Arizona is making its way through the Senate that would force sites like e621 to implement mandatory age verification for all users—or face potential lawsuits. This system would require third-party vendors to verify every user’s age through a government database. Not only is this a massive violation of privacy, but it also introduces serious risks, including identity theft through phishing schemes and other malicious methods. Worse still, we would have no control over ensuring that user data is permanently deleted after verification.

Since e621 operates out of Arizona, this law would almost certainly impact us if it passes. If you want to help ensure that we can continue serving you without being forced to collect personal information, we urge you to contact Arizona’s senators and ask them to vote NO on this bill.

Please help spread the word about this issue and encourage others to take action.
Further information on the bill itself can be found at the Free Speech Coalition: https://action.freespeechcoalition.com/bill/arizona-hb-2112/

so...if we destroy that tower we subdue the kaltag?...sounds like a plan...whose with me!?...what...nobody?...fine il do it myself!

That would only prevent further updates. Each unit, as I can best assess, is autonomous of each other, and able to perform their duties without a connection to The Tower.

Not to mention any efficient and smart corporation will have contingencies, so that means back up personnel for the back up personnel, odds are the actual military runs security, back up stations and emergency transfer units to take on role of admin for the other units, in other words you’d need a very very VERY long term thought out plan to do any truly significant damage, otherwise even if you managed to damage or even destroy the tower, with how important Kaltag is to the military infrastructure you bet your ass they’ll have it back up and running to peak efficiency within the span of a few months if not earlier. Not to mention every unit on those ships having lost unexpected contact with the tower the whole damn military will be on red alert and prepared for invasion so while in the short term you buy your forces time to attack in the long term you’re probably not getting far in, at best you take out a few outposts and maybe a few new world colonies, but one that’s built up and has forces on the ground? Highly unlikely unless you’re just out to destroy their planets.

Also probably have it heavily fortified and defended from any possible threat.

  • So you´re telling me that if the tower was out of commission, we´d no longer have to uppdate Windows 10 all the time? <_<
