    Actually hippogriffs have been a part of medieval and greek mythology as the griffin has.

    And I know it's replaying to a year old post, but thought I'd correct the information.

    As the owner of this particular character, doombeez is actually right, and this character is specifically supposed to be a Gryff from MtG lore. However, you are also right in that griffins have existed way longer than MtG, I'm just clarifying the intent of this piece, no hard feelings or anything.
