Well none of those robots were meant to have weapons they were modified for combat by Wily, Roll on the other hand was built to be a maid

actually that's not really true. the first robot Light built was Protoman.

Actually, the lore of the games is that the robots realized they had an expiration date, and Wily offered to help them survive past it, so they joined him. In other words, Doctor Light gave these robots self awareness, and they joined Wily out of fear of their inevitable deaths!

The robots were always dangerous, because he designed them for industrial labor, such as Gutsman being a construction worker, or Bomb Man being a demolitions robot.
