    The "interior" version of this is a .PNG with a 6x larger file size, is resolution the only metric that matters for these comparisons?

    I don't get this site either. This is a perfectly valid image size and this sight thinks a 8000x8000 picture is better. No, its a stupidly huge file for a picture that no one wants to download due to its huge size.
