I'm having...mixed feelings about this crossover​. The idea may sound good on paper, but the execution doesn't peak my interest. Maybe it'll be better if the crossover between the Mario cast and something else other than the Rabbids? Why not try this concept with Sonic or the Dragon Quest and/or Final Fantasy since they done a few number of mashups with Mario before?

I literally just watched GameXplain's impressions of this game a minute ago, lol. This game's concept is just stupid enough that it could possibly be brilliant... or fall apart terribly... What can be said about the game is summed up by the tags: what_has_science_done and why?

Rabbids are so ugly. They're just... extremely visually unappealing to look at. They're disgusting and repulsive to me. They started in Rayman and almost killed his franchise, they have their own shitty show on Nickelodeon for some reason, and now they're swarming into Mario of all things. Why do people LIKE these things? They're literally the original 'Minions' - loud, annoying, gibberish-speaking cretins that all look alike and fuck things up wherever they go, only appealing to the lowest common denominator. I fucking hate these things, and this would look like a pretty good Mario game if the Rabbids weren't fucking in it. Call me salty all you want, because that's definitely what I am right now. Fuck Rabbids.

I think this might be the first time anyone's seen either side with any actual weapons outside of Smash Bros or their respective worlds.

My question is: Why the hell does Mario and co. need to team up with the rabbids in an RPG? Aren't they strong enough without some weird, practically useless bunny things following them around?

I feel it might be the other way around. It looks like it's gonna be terrible, but it might actually be great, since I loved the one Rayman game I played, and I loved every single Nintendo game I've played.

It's funny how things turn out. This game is probably one of the best on the Switch, even now. Absolutely astounding.

I love how there's nothing wrong with this image, there's no weird fetishes, no gore, no nothing, and yet it has -14 points.

SO yeah, it turns out that the best iteration to date on the XCOM formula was done by Nintendo and Ubisoft on a god-damn Mario and Rabbids crossover game. Which was also interesting and charming in its own right, with the Mario cast getting to play the straight men and the Rabbids actually injecting just enough variance to shake up the usual formula.

Also we got Peach with a shotgun. That did happen. It was pretty great.

Yeah, funny how that turned out right? My biggest concerns were the Rabbids obnoxious and over the top annoying personalities and behavior, I'm not a fan of such things. Then I learned the devs are toning it down a lot to be more fitting and appropriate. I'm glad they made that decision, and now the game is great and one of the top bests on the Switch like most people said. Now I eagerly await the sequel.
