I can explain to you why humans have short lifespans but I'm more interested in your 200-300 year prediction. We have the tech to build the physical body now and with some clever self replection programing we cound grow an ai in a few (20) years. Be it as it my be child like it could work if our view on neurology are correct.

I'd really wish to live and see this through...and I hope no1 will give me a "Terminator"-like scenario now and ruin my dreams :D
