I'll let the fact that I have chosen this to be my new avatar speak magnitudes of how great I feel about this pic.

Looks like you've finally come full circle and returned to Sectonia. Not a bad choice, she really is one of the best Kirby bosses

Have you tried fighting the True Arena? The finale is different there.

Yessir. Only beat Super Star Ultra's, however.

...I just realized how easily Thr True Arena can be compared to the Salty Spitoon scene from SpongeBob.

Here's a tip: In the newer Kirby games, a lot of the powerups have moves that they are invincible during. For example, the wheel powerup is invincible while moving or jumping (It was only invincible during a run in Super Star)--you can jump-turn by repeatedly changing directions. You can sit on a boss if you learn to time this right, though be careful not to run too long before turning or you'll lose the turn-jump.

Other powerups have their own advantages, but I cheesed it with that and patience.

I just use stone. Always have, Always will. Nothing beats it, especially in the newer games

Stone has always had invincibility, but the problem is you do no damage just sitting there. You need to unstone, at which point if they're camping on you (some bosses do), you're dead.

Another trick is that the new games include the ability to dodge when guarding (Return To Dreamland didn't have a guard button though so it doesn't have dodge). Dodging is actually very useful, and if you ever play Fighters on hard difficulty, you'll find that the computer players (especially Shadow Kirby) abuse dodge to victory.

Well, you could just wait until the attack ends, then you can un-stone safely and run after them to use the almighty down-B at them again. All you need is a bit of patience. Works every time

Against big bosses, sure. They always have an attack that moves them away. But the minibosses are, amusingly, the worst enemy when you're Stone. Bonkers, Bomb Sr., King Waddle Dee, etc will stand over you and not use any big-movement attacks.

Eh, I never have any problems with those. Maybe the Dubior because of the erratic flight, but otherwise I can always dominate with stone.

Yes, some abilities have Invulnerability frames. That's why I usually use Hammer. High Damage, along with invulnerably with dash attacks and down attacks, I got pretty far in Robobot's True Arena.

Hammer's dash attack gives invincibility? The down attack did, and I use that in Team Clash to avoid Pyribbit's lava pillars, but I never got past any attacks using the dash attack.

I got so close to beating that arena once. One more it and I would probably have won. But then I managed to die. Not sure if I've even played it since that day. I really should thoug. I have a 100%-streak to keep going

Well, in case you ever go through with it, something to keep in mind: It's not over when you win. Be on your guard.

I know, I found out the hard way. That's how I died. Might give it another shot some time. If only I had a Bowser amiibo..

Do Amiibo even do anything in the True Arena? I don't think they should, kind of rigs it.

You can pause the game and use an amiibo at any time.Even in the True Arena. I don't really bother with it though, seeing as I don't have anything that gives stone.

    Played true arena

    Results: beat...after 37928383 tries

    Actually I'm joking

I beat it in about 12 tries but I prefer Kirby's return to dream lands true arena as it was the best in my opinion and the game set the baseline for A SHIT TON of back story

  • Also this is tempting me to get my 3ds and play the game again

But at the same time I don't and would rather play return to dream land because in my opinion triple deluxe made a weak entry into the series I don't know why but I didn't get that enormous nastolgia feel that I did get from return to dreamland

It was also the first kirby adventure 4 player game (at least locally) but I mainly liked the game as playing with friends and just simply talking and beating the living shit out of everything was just like having an orgasm with out the actual orgasm part and not driven by the id

I know what you mean. I've spent countless hours playing this game with friends, alsways trying to be player 3. It's also the game where I realised that the only ability I'll ever need is stone. And thats I'm the only person I know who can use it for offense.

I can almost use it offensively, but it takes way more patience to pull of Stone Invincibility than Wheel Invincibility. Unfortunately for me, Wheel isn't in RTD so I'll have to finish my training with Stone if I intend to complete RTD's arena.

It's super easy. Just wait for the boss/mini boss to come at you, then you jump up and hit down-1 just before it hits you. The longer transformation into a big stone damages them before you slam them like a normal stone would. Then you just wait it out and repeat the process when you can. My current record with stone in the normal arena is 12:45:56, which isn't too shabby for a mostly imobile ability, if I do say so myself.

Scratch that, just did it in 11:22:31. A new personal best.

Return to Dreamland actually DOES have a guard button, the A button. However, it doesn't have dodging. That was introduced in Triple Deluxe. Speaking of which, Archer is COMPLETELY busted. Fast charge time for insane damage, and intangibility on crouch. Nothing, I repeat, NOTHING can hurt you if you aren't crawling or shooting while crouched. Somehow, a tiny cardboard cutout protects you from all harm.

My fastest run as meta knight was 16:12:04 and it was also a successful no hit run

  • Also for when I play stone I use the float then smash to deal damage alot as when I use it I can float away from the boss as the spin animation finishes and I float to the left to repeat the process as considering the giant hitbox of stones attacks it's spammable and when unstoneing Kirby's hitbox is out of the way when I nudge to the left away from the boss making a wash rinse repeat spam

Did you even bother reading those comments? They weren't talking about labo or anything related. They were talking about the Archer's camouflage ability.
