Better than his brother, maybe, but even Roderick lampshades it. He's still an unapologetic slave trader, he put a "can't say no" spell on all of them but Kat, and he's established to have slept with more than a few of them. If Rod's morality is black, then Eric is a shade of gray. That being said, he might be coming around with how the recent pages with him are being painted.

I don't think 'unapologetic' really captures Eric.
Honestly it's not hard to have a higher moral standard, or even business standard than Roderick. He clearly doesn't seem to understand damaging goods is harmful in more than value. It damages reputation and business as well.
But more than that from what I can tell Eric only takes measures necessary at the time. He doesn't use collars unless he feels the situation calls for absolute obedience, and recently expressed regret for doing so, which means it's possible he's regretted doing so other times in the past as well.
He may trade in slaves, but he doesn't enslave himself to the standards of those around him, which is probably his most admirable if most frustrating quality (mainly because of his perversion).
