News: Feb 26, 2025 Show

Feb 26th:A new bill in Arizona is making its way through the Senate that would force sites like e621 to implement mandatory age verification for all users—or face potential lawsuits. This system would require third-party vendors to verify every user’s age through a government database. Not only is this a massive violation of privacy, but it also introduces serious risks, including identity theft through phishing schemes and other malicious methods. Worse still, we would have no control over ensuring that user data is permanently deleted after verification.

Since e621 operates out of Arizona, this law would almost certainly impact us if it passes. If you want to help ensure that we can continue serving you without being forced to collect personal information, we urge you to contact Arizona’s senators and ask them to vote NO on this bill.

Please help spread the word about this issue and encourage others to take action.
Further information on the bill itself can be found at the Free Speech Coalition: https://action.freespeechcoalition.com/bill/arizona-hb-2112/

    Ah, the infamous porn trace.

because everything ever is 100% original, and not in any way ever similar to anyone else's work.
Picasso wasn't an idiot, you know.

  • It's amazing how people are quick to attack some relatively unknown artist for tracing, but when it's someone who's well known and popular, they dismiss it as "it's just one pic plus can you prove it?", without even wondering is it really just one pic, and did the artist actually trace before?

If I remember the drama correctly, someone did a Flash showing the Porn overlayed with this image and it was almost spot on. And frankly, the internet masses be damned, if I catch tracing and can prove it. I call it

  • I love how people call trace, and give no evidence.

In fact the one time someone actually DID give evidence it was on a WIP, someone ELSE had traced the WIP and added finishing details. Everyone thought the WIP was the traced thing!!!

But then the WIP turned out to be 3 years before the otehr image.

    tl;dr PROOF OR GTFO

  • tl;dr PROOF OR GTFO

Lol this has already been proven.

And the proof was so total the artist even admitted to it as I recall. Citing timing restraints as an excuse.
Don't forget this is a piece that money was charged for. Personally I find the lazily redone photo background almost as bad. And I can't remember, was it Scappo who stole backgrounds from Serious Sam?

  • Too bad most popular artists pretty much trace, or borrow heavily from pictures to get the anatomy right, all the time.

  • If I were paying for it I would be a little perturbed about it, but in all honesty, ESPECIALLY when coming to fap material, there is enough difference between the two that they are separate. Not that it was right, it's just i like that both exist.
