Succubats are free to recruit new hosts with whatever methods they have. The only real limiting factors are their own capability, Internal resistance from hive morality, and outside resistance.

Some more benign hives just have normal recruitment drives, or make deals for people to join the hive. More unscrupulous hosts will use less moral means
