So, I noticed that Chrissy there doesn't have a collar on. I'm going to interpret this my own, very similar, way.

In this world, Chrysalis wins, captures all the ponies we see here, teaches them to be "nice" over a few years, and is now posing with her slave/waifus. That's why Celestia and Luna don't look quite as happy. Five years or so is hardly any time to them, while to Cadence and Twilight, five years or so is a long time. They haven't fully adjusted quite yet... Yeah, I'm gonna work with that. Which, honestly, is close to what the artist already has.
