I'm no artist, but I think those details are intended to be subtle. Most people are probably going to put more focus on the pornographic aspects, whereas people like you who want a real eye-full will notice stuff like the inner ear, the lip biting, the room lighting and the background in general. It makes it more immersive for the viewer. That being said, I don't think the big ass takes away from any of that.
