  • Artist uploaded this publicly at least on Weasyl, Inkbunny, Patreon, Tumblr, Twitter and Furaffinity.

Furaffinity version is the only one which is much lower quality and these pages were posted from furaffinity. This is one of the many reasons why I dislike that site.

To be fair i had to post the 300 dpi versions (resolutions halved) to FA, Inkbunny, Weasyl, and in one case Tumblr. The other sites should all be 600 dpi, so FA's not the only one that can't handle large files :p.

That wasn't exactly my point, my point was that FA always handles files pretty badly regardless of what you upload there initially.

FA version is still 905x1280 JPG, that's the version posted here now as you can see. Statistics for the file are at left side panel. FA always destroys the file you post there and only saves downscaled JPG compressed version of it if it's over 1280px in dimension and you have to use their security hole by uploading submission twice to bypass that.
Tumblr, Weasyl and Inkbunny seem to be 3508x4961 PNG, so yes, you weren't lying that those sites did have limitations which forced for lower quality submission, but at least these sites still retain even that slightly lower quality.
Patreon gives 7016x9921 PNG. Twitter should be dismissed as that always compresses the content to hell and there's already this many sources.

For archival purposes and to ensure that we are hosting everything as good as possible, highest quality file is always preferred to be uploaded. Reason why my comment was kinda direct was because it's insanely common that users just take the content from FA - the source which is usually worst - and post it here, which then leads to content reposting and more work.

Already added better version at source to signify that the file needs replacing, so if uploader or anyone else doesn't do it, it'll come around with my personal queue at some point.
