The Wrong Tail.

Maeve ends the merc fight early by clamping onto the Adrakist's tail!

Lucky for Maeve, Seraphina - despite appearances - is secretly a huge softy when it comes to cute things and very protective of kids, even Keidran kids. So Maeve is pretty much her greatest weakness. This would probably lead to Sarah feeling torn between a desire to fight the Basitins and an obligation to lead the child back home. The latter of which would likely win out, though with no small amount of grumbling and swearings of revenge directed towards Keith & co.

All and all a very different end to that particular battle, if Maeve had taken a different path toward town.
