I don't know why but I've been seeing a lot of images get removed lately for the reason of "bad quality" even when they looked better than average.

Difference in opinion. Sometimes people misunderstand what they mean and think that lineart is "low quality" and busy MSPaint images are high quality simply because there's a lot more on them, when they're actually worse because of stray pixels and poor anatomy.
