Finally got enough sleep to pull this thing together. He asked to be relaxing on an arctic beach, which I sort of turned into a pinup but I think it works.
Now the thing about this picture, it didn't quite turn out everything I wanted it to be. To begin with, I can barely draw a normal beach, and I had no idea what I was doing with an arctic one. There were few useful references available and what I found was tricky to work with, so I did the best I could.
I think in the end the result is fairly decent, but it's not quite what I expected it to be. This is the danger when getting paid before finishing the picture- I expected to be doing a big highly detailed background for this, and instead it ended up something a bit simpler, more my middle style background. I don't think it came out too badly- at least, I -hope- it didn't, but it's just not quite what I wanted. Sometimes you just don't know what'll happen 'till it does.
So, to make up for that 10 bucks or so difference in the background, I also did a sketch! Which I'll be posting right after this. But I hope this part looks good.
