you know. honestly I never understood why furries have animalistic vestigial appearances. like, barbed cat penises are there to scrub cum from females against other males, knots on canines are there for both female vaginal access and to ensure a pregnancy (the best they can). yet being civilized like humans, would they need a vestigial trait like that? I just had a major fucking identity crisis from this comic... I need some alcohol.

I don't see why the traits would disappear at all. A feral species would at some point turn sentient, and whatever dickshape they'd have at that point would be of minor or major influence on their culture.

A species with barbed dicks would probably have a very rape-ey, barbaric culture, with no concept of "soft gentle love" whatsoever. A species with knotted dicks would probably romanticize the idea of lovers being tied together. Guys with small knots would probably be made fun of for not being able to 'hold on to' a mate properly. Whatever the shape, it would be idolized as a key part of what made the culture the way it was - Whatever function it loses in the practical sense, it would gain in a symbolic, cultural sense.

Human culture would've been really weird if we had barbed dicks, if you think about it :P
