News: Feb 26, 2025 Show

Feb 26th:A new bill in Arizona is making its way through the Senate that would force sites like e621 to implement mandatory age verification for all users—or face potential lawsuits. This system would require third-party vendors to verify every user’s age through a government database. Not only is this a massive violation of privacy, but it also introduces serious risks, including identity theft through phishing schemes and other malicious methods. Worse still, we would have no control over ensuring that user data is permanently deleted after verification.

Since e621 operates out of Arizona, this law would almost certainly impact us if it passes. If you want to help ensure that we can continue serving you without being forced to collect personal information, we urge you to contact Arizona’s senators and ask them to vote NO on this bill.

Please help spread the word about this issue and encourage others to take action.

Jan 7th: Small update to the Uploading Guidelines today: We now no longer allow paintovers of AI generated content. Or in other words AI generated content that has been edited to some degree by humans.

    In the war against terrorism today the furry fandom released an official statement shortly after publishing this image ordering IS to withdraw from all fronts and disarm themselves by handing over their weapons and armor at the nearest history museum. The furry fandom also warned that should IS not comply with their demand within 72 hours the furry fandom will task the sonic fandom to draw as well. When asked about deploying the infamous chris-chan to the warzone the fandom's spokesmen replied that it is currently one of the many options to consider.

    I think it's just more of a fact that someone doesn't like it, and hopes that this will get it removed. I don't blame them, as I wasn't very fond of reposting the higher quality version, but hey, that's literally all I do.

    This is exactly the reason why I always make it clear with description when I replace posts with superior versions.

    To clarify, only reason why this post was accepted was because it is superior version to post #632993, which is so old that it can be considered to be grandfathered, so you cannot flag it for any given reason and doing so will be seen as flagging abuse.

    Also this is from derpibooru, so if you have been offended then go bother them or if artist is not fine with this kind of edit, point them to our takedown form.
