MemberYou want the long-winded explanation?
1. The brainwashing power of advertising.
2. We've ceded too much power to the markets. All hail!
3. No school trips to slaughterhouses, generally.
4. Vegans often (tho not always, duh) have an arrogant, self-righteous attitude that many find obnoxious. At least in my experience. This can be off-putting.
5. The consumer doesn't have to do it themselves.
6. Hunters may be awful with other professions, or they just pay crap/seem boring by comparison.
7. Farmers don't want to give up the meat section because it affords them too much profit.
8. The W.W.F. can't do enough work; they don't have the funds. Charitable organisations all generally struggle, else the world would be fixed by now. It's simply not profitable to be charitable. Again: all hail the power of the market!
9. To be fair and honest: there is no excuse for not just getting synthetic fur instead; if you live in a 1st-world (or heck, maybe even 2nd-world) country.
