Feb 26th:A new bill in Arizona is making its way through the Senate that would force sites like e621 to implement mandatory age verification for all users—or face potential lawsuits. This system would require third-party vendors to verify every user’s age through a government database. Not only is this a massive violation of privacy, but it also introduces serious risks, including identity theft through phishing schemes and other malicious methods. Worse still, we would have no control over ensuring that user data is permanently deleted after verification.
Since e621 operates out of Arizona, this law would almost certainly impact us if it passes. If you want to help ensure that we can continue serving you without being forced to collect personal information, we urge you to contact Arizona’s senators and ask them to vote NO on this bill.
Please help spread the word about this issue and encourage others to take action.
Further information on the bill itself can be found at the Free Speech Coalition: https://action.freespeechcoalition.com/bill/arizona-hb-2112/

BlockedI'm probably going to get marked for this, but how does a commenter like tiamat5 get blocked for mostly harmless comments like these, compared to the literal years' worth of creepy comments on profiles like Tetz? That's a bit eccentric. I've reported Tetz once a week ago, but they didn't have any marks prior to that. I feel like the *Creepy comments* system is a bit off. Not that the staff isn't doing a lot to counter it, but people can just report whoever and due to the vague(ish) perameters of which you can be called out for creepy comments, most of those people are likely to get in trouble. Sorry for ranting, just feels a bit unfair.
Edit: Just checked, and after a week since the ticket I submitted against Tetz, no action has been taken. Bit confused. Somebody just please read their comment history.

MemberI probably will be downvoted too, but I agree creepy comments should only count as sexual Role-Play or saying you want to fuck the characters, but Tiamat had some genuinely funny comments that were clever and didn't seem like he was gushing over the characters very inappropriately.
I have kind of an affinity for creep-like humor if done well, with subtlety, I find it hilarious and his comments just didn't even cross into those territories to an extreme.
I even made forum thread about the whole subject.. and I am not the first.
Oh well though.. just gotta be careful, I guess.

MemberWow. Nearly everyone sticking up for Tiamat's been blocked. That really says something, doesn't it
