Seems like it’s leaning more towards my second theory.
Also I’m guessing the food thing was from Mindes hiding in Ambus’s house via that cabinet, probably to take more sleeping pictures of him. Or maybe ‘cause he was going to snatch away Ambus one night and was stopped by the good fuccs that Ambus started giving him.
I think I like this route more, but both routes definitely need one to understand the other more in-depth and I like that fact as well. The storytelling is just super good with this comic on both ends so far and I’m interested to see how both routes end.
Seeing as how GrimArt appears to be writing, nothing is truly 'random', everything has a purpose. You have to wait for everything to be shown before calling it random, like how one of the recent pages explained all of it.
if i had to guess, mindes isnt just feeling guilty about ambus, but hes also really falling for him. it would explain why hes saying that he hates it, because he didnt ever plan on falling in love.

Im not sure if in this version theres that whole sex slave shiny Pokemon thing, but maybe Mindes was planning to do that bad stuff at first, so now hes having second thoughts about it like you said.
He gets some pleasure from inflicting pain on himself or letting others inflict it on him. Opposite of sadism. Taking pleasure from inflicting pain on others. Sometimes coupled together as Sado-Masochism which is where the real fun begins....no actually it's more like a living hell that you can only find escape from in the fleeting moments when the pleasure, pain, or guilt reaches an apex of sorts... could account for his seemingly erratic nature but I've been mostly just browsing the comic and haven't done any real theorizing yet....
I think that is like the A and B scenario from resident evil game. As in we're seeing the same events from a different perspective. I think the only thing that has changed was Mindes slapped Ambus away and we're seeing a butterfly effect style of change. In this version of Events Mindes can't stand the idea of receiving pleasure from a shiny. Whereas in the main story he doesn't mind it. I mainly think this because "I trusted you" isn't listed as "alternate story" but is instead listed as "alternate pages" different pages same story. But hey that's just my interpretation of the comic and I'm probably wrong.
After rereading, I'm feeling that he doesn't want to receive because he's always been used. And he hates Ambus because he is not supposed to be treated nice, he is "meant" to be used viciously and horribly, like an object. He will pleasure others because he's their plaything, and his own pleasure is not important, or wrong. Ambus giving to him contradicts everything Mindes knows to be a fact of life, breaking that and suggesting he doesn't actually deserve to just be used and can receive for his own sake, so he hates him. I find myself relating to Mindes. I grew up like this. Being used seems right, and feels right, but at the same time you hate it, but that's what you exist for, so you feel wrong to feel bad. Of course, I could be reading this incorrectly, it's just my view on this.

I might sloooowly be retracting my statement due to this random drama :L
We'll see how it goes anyways.

MemberI suspect Mindes might be a bit of a mascochist in this version of the story.
