    Thinking about it, humans are only a tiny, tiny minority of life-forms on this planet, surely most spirits should be animals. Unless we just see them as humans.

    I mean the spirit is a tall dark figure in a black jacket that appears to wander the house after dark. I don't know if it is a human soul that got lost, is hanging around for unfinished business or doesn't want to leave. Or it could be something more dangerous, I don't know.
