I'm sure the game would like to portray this as paying her bail. But seeing as how Sheila was falsely imprisoned, this is actually more like a depiction of the slave trade!

Well since the Sorceress was the ruler of the kingdom, sheila was a traitor, so not really false imprisonment, even if she's the good guy.
