It is often considered “rude” to comment with a “But I want it *this* way,” though there are more and less polite ways to express it, and not only was this perfectly polite by not dispariging this original version, and also complimenting it, but whoever downvoted the original comment here was also ignorant of the fact that someone *has* done female edits if the last time Honovy drew that snow leopard

I already told the person who edited my first piece of honovy art that they're free to do as they please. It's a creation-centric community, so I'm always going to be happy to see other people do their own take on things. The editor guy also asked for and received permission from Honovy last time from my understanding. I'm not going to claim to speak on behalf of Uchoa here, but I feel very safe saying that he doesn't care about edits either if all other parties are OK with it.

tl;dr Like Aktwin said, there's already precedent for such an edit.

I've got a pretty laissez-faire attitude towards the internet, I personally think it's both naive and lame to expect everyone to merely look, not touch. Half the fun of the internet is people doing their own take on something! Wouldn't have any good memes to shitpost otherwise. If some pixels on a screen are so valuable, then I think those pixels are best left in private.

Because it's disrespectful to the artist and the people who commissioned it. You want art a certain way? Commission it yourself. And don't whine about downvotes as if they matter.
