This might be unrelated, but, who promotes lower ranking soldiers in the Navy, or the Military, or Air Force? I know that when a soldier is promoted in the battlefield it's called a "field promotion." Once the "Allies" RTB, who promotes the lower ranking soldiers? Anyone who knows anything about the Army should know what happens.

This has been a favorite comic for years. I doubt that it'll be continued unless someone is willing to commission a part two etc. so we'll just have to use our imaginations. mmmmm... :D

this has always confused me. Wendy was told to Substitute the pilot eating the captain out, and the captain told the leaving pilot to assist Wendy into it. Am I missing how Wendy wasn't supposed to be eating in?

In the Navy at least, we call it an "Advancement" in rank. Low ranking enlisted (Ranks E-1 through E-3) are advanced automatically by the Commanding Officer of their command. E-4 through E-6 have to take an Advancement Exam. If they pass (and there is enough "room" for them to be advanced without over filling the pay grade). They get to be advanced by their Commanding Officer. As for "field promotions" I think the only equivalent is "Command Advancement Program" (CAP) where the captain awards a service member with an advancement.The Captain is only alloted a few of those in a certain time.
